Terms of Service
The rules that apply when you use ButBecause. Please read carefully.
Who We Are & Acceptance
ButBecause is operated by RedCorner LLC (“RedCorner”, “we”). These Terms are a binding agreement between you and RedCorner LLC. By creating an account or using the service you accept these Terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law of your country requires a higher minimum age, to use ButBecause. You must provide accurate and current information when registering. If we previously suspended or removed your account, you may not create a new one without our permission.
Your Account
Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization. We may reclaim usernames that are inactive, misleading, or infringe someone else's rights.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant RedCorner a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, publish and distribute that content, solely to operate, improve and promote the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have re-shared and copies we must keep for legal reasons.
Content Rules
You may not post or send content that involves harassment or bullying, hate speech, threats or incitement of violence, sexual exploitation, impersonation, spam or platform manipulation, infringement of others' rights, or anything illegal. Content presenting manipulated or fabricated material as fact may be removed or labeled. You confirm you hold the necessary rights to everything you share.
Moderation & Enforcement
We may review, remove or restrict the visibility of content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. To investigate reports and keep the service safe, we may access reported content, including private messages. We may preserve and disclose information where the law requires it.
Brand Accounts & Official Responses
Brand features (brand tags, official responses, Brand Center) may only be used by people authorized to represent the brand in question. You are responsible for the accuracy of the brand identity you configure and the official responses published under it. We may revoke tag ownership in cases of misuse or a substantiated ownership dispute.
Advertising & Paid Services
The service may show ads, which are labeled as sponsored. Brand advertising budgets and package fees are charged as used or in advance; amounts spent or committed are non-refundable unless we expressly state otherwise or the law requires a refund. Pausing a campaign does not refund its budget. We may change prices and the scope of paid features with reasonable notice.
Referrals & Invitations
Invitation links and referral credits are promotional benefits. We may limit, change or end them at any time. Abusing the program — for example with fake accounts or automated sign-ups — results in removal of credits and may lead to account action.
Our Intellectual Property
The service, its software, design, logo and trademarks belong to RedCorner LLC or its licensors. These Terms give you no rights to them beyond what is needed to use the service. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on ButBecause infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] identifying the work, the location of the content, your contact details and a good-faith statement. We remove or disable access to infringing content in accordance with applicable law, including the DMCA, and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Third-Party Links
The service may contain links to third-party websites or services, including links in ads. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. Content posted by users belongs to its authors and does not represent our views.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RedCorner is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of USD 100 or the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time; deletion becomes permanent after a grace period of about 30 days, during which you can cancel it. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, legal risk, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination survive it.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Changes, Language & Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you of significant changes; continued use after changes means you accept them.
